‘Raya, Sale’ join to win Golden Glove

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya and Nottingham Forest’s Mats Selz shared the Premier League Golden Glove award for this season, both with 13 clean sheets.

On the final day of Sunday, both the Gunners and the Forest conceded goals to Southampton and Chelsea respectively, leaving their position in the clean sheet table unchanged.

Raya, the 30-year-old Spanish goalkeeper, made 13 clean sheets from 38 appearances, helping Arsenal finish as runners-up and claim the award for the second year in a row.

Raya’s recognition is his second successive Golden Glove award. He’s also the third Spaniard to win the prize on multiple occasions, after Pepe Reina (3) and David de Gea (2).
