Competition resultsManchester City 2-2 Crystal Palace

Manchester City lost points in the Premier League again after being held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace at home.

Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis scored a goal each. “The Blues” pretended to easily grab 3 points, but in the end they were trailed by Jean-Philippe Mateta and Michael Olise’s penalty in injury time.

At the end of this game, Pep Guardiola’s team had accumulated 34 points from 17 games played, ranking 4th in the table, unfortunately unable to score points to catch up to the leading team.

Manchester City player ratings

Ederson – 5/10

Didn’t exert any effort to save because Palace’s 2 chances turned into goals. Plus there was a yellow card for an unnecessary tackle outside the penalty area.

Kyle Walker – 6/10

The first period was considered quite calm when on the ball, but the visiting team’s 2 goals all started from their side. Passing the ball was not as decisive as it should have been, especially in the final 15 minutes when the team needed more goals.

Ruben Dias – 6/10

Better than previous games with excellent tackling and reading at times. But was responsible for the first goal conceded after allowing Schlupp to open the ball for Mateta to shoot in.

Nathan Ake – 6/10

Not afraid to bring the ball forward in open play. and looks dangerous when participating in set piece games

Yosco Guardiol – 7/10

Raise the game up so high that it’s like becoming one of the attackers. And was almost named as a scorer.

Rico Lewis – 8/10

So outstanding that it’s hard to believe he’s only 19 years old and his first Premier League goal is already a reward for his hard work.

Rodri – 7/10

No wonder why he is so important to the team. Win many duels with your opponent. Including having a chance to score a goal as well. Even if there are unnecessary expenses sometimes.

Bernardo Silva – 7/10

Always trying to create things, playing smart football, unfortunately there were no assists or goals.

Phil Foden – 5/10

There was an assist, but it looked a bit out of form compared to previous games, refusing to press Gehi, which was the source of Palace’s first goal.

Jack Grealish – 7/10

May have a difficult game in the last match. But when he was able to fully shine, he looked better and better and continued to score.

Julian Alvarez – 6/10

Had a chance to score from the beginning of the game but made a save. Benefits to the team both when they have the ball and when they don’t. Almost likely to have scored if Rodri hadn’t been offside first.
